Cinema HeraldsHeralds were available to the public from around 1910-1965. Theaters would order thousands of heralds and then hire people to hand them out in the streets. Since passers-by took a brief look and then mostly threw them away it's no wonder heralds are hard to come by.
A herald is normally one piece of paper which is usually folded to make four pages, the front page would be like a mini poster. The second and third pages would be cast and film information whilst the last page would have a small banner or sometimes be blank. (So that the theater could add any extra information).
