Drawing inspiration from the Tintin books The Crab with the Golden Claw (1941), The Secret of the Unicorn (1943) and Red Rackhams Treasure (1944), Steven Spielberg acquired the rights to Herge's works in 1983 and then re-optioned them in 2002. Originally scheduled to be released in 2010, it was delayed due to Universal Pictures pulling out of financial backing. The poster has the most fabulous image with striking colours. In my opinion one of the best film posters in the last twenty years. |
