Australian Daybill Posters

Australian Posters

From 1920-1940 Australian Film Posters (known as daybills) measured approximately 15" x 40". However after this date most of them measured 13" x 30" although there are exceptions, depending on which studio and the year of the film. The best of these Australian posters were by the famous Richardson studio. After 1980 the daybill size changed again to measure 13" x 26"

Daybills are usually printed on thinner paper and ones from 1920 - 1940 are deemed very scarce, with some titles having just a handful of survivors and others having just one or none in existence.
