The 1950’s, where Marilyn Monroe was the ultimate sex-symbol and the public couldn’t get enough of her. This is the film with the iconic scene of Marilyn’s dress blowing up around her legs as she stands over the subway grating. This was originally filmed in Manhattan but the crowd was so wild it didn’t make it into the film. Billy Wilder then reshot the scene of a Fox set replicating 52nd Avenue in Manhattan. |
